Hiya Bob, I see you signed on. I've been following some of your FR threads on your experience of newlywed bliss- as with everything else you do, your approach to that is one of a kind! :D

Hope Lira is adapting well to the cold climate, and that her health has improved.

Best wishes to you and Lira.

Hey there Jobar - my favorite internet poster of all time Christina told me the site was going. Didn't know she was posting though.

Wow, things have been just amazing with Lira. Even better than I thought it would be. Jesus, she is making both of us fat. Every time I turn around she's handing me a plate of food.

We at least know the name of her condition now - cyclic vomiting syndrome. We finally got the right answers through the migraine literature. Turns out they are related conditions. It is rare and incurable. But I love her and married her knowing that full well.

Ah yes, Pendaric - got to see Manny Pacquiao beat Marquez closed-circuit live with a crowd of screaming Filipinos last year. Had my Manny Pacquiao t-shirt on of course.

Thanks DMB. Laughing Dog here ya go...

Life is very hard for torque as you can see. Helping Lira recover from a migraine here.

Hi World Traveller - my guess is motorcycle season is on in your parts...

Preno - old is right. Tired of getting hurt. Still limping around from Lira's little snow machine crack-up almost a month ago.

edit: Hi rob. thanks

Very glad to see the break from the trainwreck at TR. Too many good people were getting their time burned up with the trolls.

I can see from the philosophy and board rules that the right lessons were learned.

Cheers everyone...

I just assumed that you would know I was posting here when I sent you the link but I guess there wasn't any reason that you would after my avoiding it all for so long. This is the kind of place that I want to hang out in : )

Premjan - those are the lines going to her laptop. Phone white and power black.

Christina - you assumed I had a functioning cerebral cortex.

hi post mortem

Christina knows more about my goings on than anyone besides the nefarious Filipina. Has had very wise advice and if she likes it here it must be free of recreational nastiness.

I just speak fluent female.

I love that phrase "recreational nastiness" almost as much as "'recreational outrage" and "aggressive ignorance". I must admit to enjoying the middle one once in a while.

Man, that pic shows just how big Torque is! I need to get a good shot of Nero, my St. Bernard (180 lbs.), so that you can tell his size.

First I'm gonna wait until it's warm enough to give him a good bath, though. He wouldn't do for polite company, right now.

Glad to hear they've diagnosed Lira; hate to hear it's related to migraine, though. You might try keeping a precise list of her diet, and match it to a calendar of when her condition flares up. IIRC some migraines are diet related; food allergies can have strange effects. There's an article in a recent Scientific American on the subject, I'll have to re-read it, and will let you know of anything that might help.

Maybe we've learned how *not* to run a discussion board; I still think the TR model could work, but... We may still not have it right, but I hope that at least we find some new and different way to screw up, if screw up we do!

That is one hefty dog!

Glad to hear that Lira has been properly diagnosed. Even having a name for the syndrome can make one feel better.

Welcome aboard!

Holy shit - 180 lbs. That is amazing. Torque is only 110. She just looks big next to the Filipina unit.

Yes, I have been trying to get Lira to keep a diet and health journal. I am doing a little of it, and I suspect chocolate for one thing. We know the main trigger for the vomiting is stress. And it is just horrific once it gets started. Hard to believe she can endure it.

I'm so sorry DMB - dogs are such wonderful companions. They always love you.

I think the admins at TR actually thrived on the anguish and drama of "who are we". The trolls took advantage of that. I wish no-one ill will. You just move on.

A note to whomever - Lira reads every email, post, and scrap of paper pertaining to me. Just relentless about looking for evidence of another girl. It's something I like in her, and something I gave her permission to do long ago. It's not for everyone of course. But the indirect consequence of that is if you say hello to her she will see it, and see the things said both ways.

Doubtful I will get her to post though.

Thanks Notta.

Hey rlogan!

I don't know if it's of an use for Lira, but we've found the Excedrin Migraine (http://www.excedrin.com/products/migraine.shtml) to be a (non-)godsend around here for migraines ...

No idea if it would help with the syndrome, but it might help ...

And good to see you about ...

Dear Lira, I'm not fooled by the "I gave her permission" or "I will get her to" bits. Just go on controlling him and your medical problems. You obviously already have tamed Torque as well.

Same here, Lira! Give him hell my dear :) Speaking as an "old man" myself, I am about the same age as your husband, you are gorgeous! Rlogan is a lucky man, I'll give him that. Good luck!

Oh, and BTW, the dog is beautiful too!
