I just joined after being invited by DMB on TalkRational. Haven't been active there in a while. My last few posts were in relation to my troubles getting a visa to get back to US. So the update on that is I gave up on it. My visa is still pending and will likely get cleared whenever it does but I am not going back there in the near future. I have settled in the town of Pune working as a postdoctoral fellow. Looking forward to interactions here!

Thanks everyone for the welcome. The cats are doing fine, my brother picked them up and they are okay for the moment. Any tips on cheap ways to send stuff from US to India? All my books and stuff are still there in cartons with my brother and I would like to get it here.
