Hi oranj :).

I grow apples in my garden.

I tried making rough cider once but I lost my nerve and chucked it 'cause the scum on the top looked too rough.

I'm a Husband, Dad, science teacher, Natural Historian and organiser of a secular event called the Ancestor's Trail.

I'm here because I like being around fellow 'non believers' (I reckon I'm a Humanist) and also because I'm hoping I can encourage some of you folks to have a look at the Ancestor's Trail event, esp if you are UK based. http://www.ancestorstrail.net/Cider WILL be available.

I think most of us are rude colonials, but there's plenty of you Limeys here, too. :)

Hope you enjoy the company; 'tis a rather small board, but we like it.

My postcode is based on Taunton - out in the sticks not far from Langport.

Do you have chickens?

It sounds good. My wife and I are walkers, but I'll have family visiting then and have to see whether they are up for it.

Sadly no, but we live 'near' chickens, and my wife informs me I do a splendid chicken dance (I don't mean to...I just end up looking like a chicken when I try to dance). Do you like walking? The trail isn't far away from you. See below.

Can walk shorter trails if they prefer....you'd have to be a jellyfish or something though!

He's an appley

Welcome! I'm a bit further up the coast to the east, but know the west country pretty well, and it's mostly lovely.

Taunton's a bit of a dive though :p :D

I'd have thought Games and Hobbies, or Misc. Not the Lounge, as that is invisible to lurkers.

We don't like spam on the board, but we can be flexible when people want to publicise cool stuff, like this, as long as it isn't overdone.

And I hope you stick around to talk about other things, too.

Is there some kind of West Country mob forming up here?

Welcome, orangj, from upstate NY, USA, also a home of apples and flowing cider (in the fall anyway)!
