Day off

I just found out that we're getting Friday and possibly next Monday off work. Apparently some guy got killed this week, and they're having some kind of memorial service this weekend.

Anybody hear about this?

I think the London police are on alert for more anarchists to show up and cause trouble.

And I have to admit I read the Daily Mail every single day for the past several months, ever since Jade Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Sort of like watching a slo-mo train wreck.

And I finally found out what a chav was. How do you pronounce it? With a hard "ch" like the beginning of "church", or something else?
