Hi Jim:)
Good to have you aboard. I think we have another pilot, at least, as a regular.

Welcome to the Cafe, CincyJim. Hope you like it here.
I discovered while driving a truck that I actually like "Cincinnati-style Chili" - chili served over spaghetti. Two of my favorite foods together.

Yo Jim,
Current Airline Pilot here.
We need to mount a professtional Aviators Coup De Gras here and oust all the Ground-Pounders!
With you, I think our current strength amounts to two....
Do you still do any flying?

Nope, two olde. I decided that at ¾ of a century, it was time to let a "kid" drive the mo-chine. I do my best trying to cornvince pilotos that all cloud-tops look/are the same, and the closer to terra firma one is the better chance of seeing a feetball play, or catching a snowball. Better yet, if REALLY LOW over the beach a piloto might see a HOT CHICK in a Bikini! (auot-piloto is mandatory during the "observation" period, eh?) :D

There is at least one other category - it is only 70% of the planet's surface.

I'm a daughter of a retired pilot [with Air Force and Commercial airline hours over his lengthy career].... is that sufficient to keep from getting ousted? :D

Yeth, you are correct. I forgot that part of earth. I've flown over the Great Atlantic & Pacific* ponds (plus a few "puddles") and actually sailed over the Gulf in a real "sail"boat (SV Elissa). Sailors (not "motor-boaters") worked their asses-off (we had twice/three times as many sailors as they did in the late 1800s)!
*The Great A & P grocery store chain actually reached across 'Merica from the Atlantic to the Pacific, but, alas, the "Great" A & P is now a small regional "corner" grocery "back east".

Hello Clivedurdle;
I've flown over both of the "biggies" and a couple of the lesser "ponds". Yours truly was a REAL sailor (we actually had sails on our "arf-arf" (barque)) unlike the Navy guys, who are NOT "sailors" but are "motor-boaters" !!! :p putt, putt, putt
(De debil made me post that "Navy" stuff. :evil: )
