Hi DrumShaman, another Scot here (there's a few more of us too secreted about the place just waiting for the beacons to be lit :D).

I take it you got my message for 'hauners' then?

Welcome to SC...

Hi David

Good to meet you.

Fife.

My niece, while studying at St Andrews, used to play fiddle in a pub jigs and reels get together quite regularly. I'm a bit of a folk fan, with a very soft spot for Capercaillie, and saw her play there a few times.

Ah, Capercaillie. Seen them many times. Bit of a folkie myself. I'll have to check if there is a music thread here and see what everyone's into.

Hiya Drum,
Welcome to the cafe, always nice to see a new face around here.
I see on your '10 Facts' thread that you're a teacher, may I ask at what level? (I'm nosy, me :) )

Hey, Silly Sausage.
I teach secondary school biology (and occasionally geology if there is a demand for it).

Thanks for the welcome!

There is one

From me you will find a lot of Capercaillie, John Martyn, Bert Jansch, Pentangle, Grateful Dead, and a bit of Miles and Trane.

And, for light relief and fun, Half Man Half Biscuit.

Some other stuff too - obscure early Rock'n'Roll.
