Hi,

Some of you may remember me from the board formerly known as Internet Infidels. I can never remember its new name. I keep in touch now and then with sohy who recommended that I join this board, especially since I was having problems connecting with the other.

I'm more of a sometime reader than a poster these days. Real life seems to have picked up the past few years and I don't get to these sites like I used to, but since so many of you are somewhat familiar, I may find myself connecting a little more often. Even though our numbers as non-believers are growing and we have quite the community in the Twin Cities area, it's still nice to have a bit of a history with online connections, especially as they were so important to me when I first "came out".

NANCY! Good to see you here! I've been trying to find out if anyone knew where you were posting, so I could send along an invitation to my gathering in May. Look for the Lounge thread about it. :)

Welcome.

Have you always been 'openeyes'? Yes, I came up with the name without thinking too much about it when I joined II. I've noticed since that there is at least one other person who considers that he or she has "openeyes" on a religious board!

NANCY! Good to see you here! I've been trying to find out if anyone knew where you were posting, so I could send along an invitation to my gathering in May. Look for the Lounge thread about it. :) I saw the posting, and as I told sohy, seriously considered attending. I actually looked at flights down for two (I'd be bringing my significant other this time) since I have a few frequent flyer miles. Alas, even with the merger of Delta and Northwest, and you'd think, many flights between the two cities of Mpls/St Paul and Atlanta, they'd weren't offering any really great deals. My work schedule has been in flux the past couple of months since they rather suddenly closed the store overnight in which I was covering the overnight shift every other week and have been forced to pick up hours where I can (currently covering a maternity leave, but that ends soon). 'Course, with the "flux", maybe now's the time to do something out of the ordinary?

Thanks for all the other welcomes!
