Well, I found this place by Google Adsense :)
I'm learning about universe and life origins, I watched some videos of Richard Darkins, The Atheist Experience and The Atheist Thinking and found them very interesting.
Now, I'm discussing these topics with a friend who is member of Adventist Church, and he argue about Carbon-14 fails and the Polonium 218 radio halos as a proof of creationism (I don't think so).
Can you provide me information to refute these arguments.
Thank you for your help
eremorse, we don't usually have serious discussions in this Introductions forum. I suggest you start a thread in Life the Universe & Everything.

Start a thread asking the question in the "life the universe and everything" subforum - just quote your above post if you like, I'm sure you'll get all the help you could ask for - post your friends objections to what is said and I'm sure they'll get refuted too :)

So are you an atheist, or have you just been looking to see what they have to say? Either way, welcome again :)

Yes, I'm atheist and i think as an atheist, I have to know more than a believer about life and universe origins to refute their dogmas. Believers are satisfaced with stuff like Adam and Eve mith. Most people here are very gullible, examples like grow money to wait for the money-tree, buying rings to lose weight and paying to witches to remove curses or curse someone, etc etc. For me is fun to discuss these topics. Thanks for your welcome :D

That stuff sounds tough, is it commonplace where you are from? like would you have to go far to find someone who actually, really, believes in witches?
How about atheists, do you know many in real life, in your family?

I know few atheist, one of them is my brother. And yep some people believe in witches, for example, years ago i had a friend who believed his sister was
chased by a witch because his sisters had strong power of i don't know. :bang:
These people who believe these things are poor and they are desperate to find solutions, so they look for witches, pastors, etc. I think this is a consecuence of poor education.
