From the movie "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", its Dorian Gray. Only movie character I have ever found myself in.

I hope you do not see this as trolling. Its not that I dislike them, as much as they make me uneasy. I have nothing against them, It is just that I would prefer normal-height people around me.

I apologize if I insulted/hurt anyone.

Have you seen any of the other Dorian Gray movies? There have been several, but my favorite was the recent 2009 one with Ben Barnes and Colin Firth.

Eh - we get trolls here sometimes who just want to post outrageous things and stir people up. Don't sweat it.

I have. Although I prefer the book over all of them, I did love the style of the one from 2009. Its a bit more... full of passion... but then again, so am I.

And I have actually spent around 500$ buying myself clothes in similar fashion. And I must say, they do look lovely.

Welcome!

You know how it is. First son of the first son in a perspective family. Always the favorite, coming before all my cousins and well, that pretty much means that I never lacked anything through all the years of my life.

Going away from home in a year or two, hoping to make it out on my own. People can be mean, especially when they are jealous.

Goodness, a century too late. Have you contacted a Cicerone and undertaken your Grand Tour yet?

No. I am afraid I have not. I dislike people telling me what to do, or look, or see, or anything for that matter.

I am very keen on experiencing things myself. Another mans lecture on all of it is not even remotely good as a first hand experience. ;)

I would like to experience things as someone else now and then, now that would be revealing; sadly the option is not available.

Welcome Yuri.

Welcome to SC Yuri!

Its not that I dislike them, as much as they make me uneasy. I have nothing against them, It is just that I would prefer normal-height people around me.

As a fairly short guy (5'7") I understand this because I've always been very uncomfortable around rather tall folk. It's not surprising to me to see it the other way around. When it's come to dating and romance in my life, I've always pursued those shorter than myself or at most no more than an inch or two greater than my height.

That's my height and I wouldn't consider it short.

Welcome, Yuri.

Welcome, Yuri.

For a woman I'd say 5'7" is average ... but for a guy, it's really short :D

Its not the size of the nail, its the hammer you bang it in with.
Oh wait, that's about something different entirely :p

Welcome Yuri, from an average 5'7" woman.

Why are you jealous?

Because I can. It would be a sad life in a golden cage if I were not jealous of something.

People need only three things in life, something to do, something to look forward to, and something to be jealous of, so they can have the first two.

Pah! My partner is my height. Call it a complex if you will, no different to what you have regarding dating taller people, but, I don't feel comfortable dating taller people either.

Equal height is just right, I say.

Apologies, Yuri, for the tangent.
