Like the new board David, but you know I need to be fed apologists regularly or I get cranky. ; )

Seriously though, glad to see this new forum. It sure is a big improvement from the GZ format of days past!

Welcome to the board, Tod, it's really good to be in touch with you again.

For those who don't know, many moons ago I surfed on into an old Inside the Web forum called The Godless Zone (don't be shy) which had a lot of traffic in its day, and saw Tod demolishing fundies. I was hooked.

Tod was a biblical scholar, astronomer, well informed about evolution and other science, and though he was much younger than me (still is, I'd guess:)) really something of my internet mentor.

We - me in particular - want to get some fundies on board, and more thoughtful and sophisticated Christians too.

We have a couple of Christians here, though no YEC ones, and nygg was a JW till a couple of years ago, when, on another board, he had his mind changed.

The board is only a few days old, and not open to the public yet. The fundies will be along in time, I'm sure.

Hi Lisa... Contrary to my opening line, I don't bite. ; )

I like to eat up Christian arguments, but I try to show respect to the presenter if I'm given the same.

David, you flatter me; I appreciate the kind words.

If y'all want me to round up some intelligent Christians, let me know when. I still have an account at CF, and I have kept up with many.

Have to wait until the board goes live first. :) I have really missed those kinds of discussions. Pen just started one about Ananias and Saphira if you want to chime in.

Shouldn't have to wait as long as that.

Right now, the staff are running round like blue-assed flies inviting people, but soon we'll be inviting suggestions about who people want to see here.

Well, I also not have my own message board and we are supposed to be getting some of the "campus crusades for christ" floks on it. I wouldnt be embarrassed to have them here unlike some other boards.

In the early part of the decade, at Internet Infidels, we had so many apologists swarming about that we started a special forum: Rants, Raves, and Preaching. You'd have loved it, Tod; a target-rich environment, that was. Ever heard the term 'drive-by fundy'?

What goes
clop clop Clop Clop CLOP CLOP DAMNED HEATHENS REPENT JESUS LOVES YOU HELL AWAITS CLOPCLOPClopClopclopclop
?

Drive-by Amish preacher. Don't see many of 'em on the net, though.

Have you been vistied by Brother Jed and Sister Cindy?I remember asking the local chapter of CCFC when they were playing on crucifying the LGBT Alliance that we were a part of.

And when they gave me a funny look, I asked them what they thought "crusade" implied to non-belivers.
