The alleged bargain with God according to Christianity is that Jesus died for your sins.

If you don't agree to this little after-the-fact "gift" then you don't go to heaven.

I was thinking about doing the same thing for God. I am going to die for Jesus. All the suffering in my life is for him too.

So now he owes me big time.

For rlogan so loved the Lord he gave his only begotten self...

I assume you mean your eventual, natural death at an advanced age? And not an early one being tortured to death in Gitmo or wherever?

I had been planning to live 102 yrs.

So it is an early death. And I have already suffered, with more suffering to come.

Whenever the Lord wills it, rlogan. The longer he waits, the more suffering for him you get to do. Sounds like a win-win to me!

Looking better all the time frazier!

In Game Theory there is a term "First Mover Advantage", and here the Christians have set up this game where God takes this action before I am born. I do not have any input, nor any meaningful choice.

I can't say "no, don't suffer on my account" and therefore not have this guilt-trip laid on me. No - Jesus already suffered for you. So don't you dare let this suffering go uncompensated. You owe him your soul.

So who are the Christians to make the rules? I have my own game going here now, and it has my own first mover advantage.

I think I'll have a cup of coffee for Jesus now.

No! No! If it's like most American coffee, that's just too much suffering!

So does that mean you get to say, "this is my body, bite me."

Said of course, as you ...erm... turn the other cheek. :D

Haw!

The religion of the Second Covenant

We get to make our own sacrifice.

Choose our own everlasting life.

Religion of the Second Covenant?

Hmmmm, wonder if Bong hits 4 Jesus (http://www.bonghits4jesus.com/) is one of the sects.

The Second Covenant has a big tent, and there is room for the bong hitters under our banner.

Think of god as being like a mafia don. He's selling you "protection" from the violence he'll inflict upon you if you don't cooperate.
