I bought some awesome soap from someone there.. it is made from beer and smells good enough to eat!

I also like some of the steampunk jewelery that's on there. It's so neat!

I assume, since this is such a hip 'n' happ'nin' crowd, ya all already know about regretsy (http://www.regretsy.com/)?

OMG. It is such well done snark.

you could have that hanging in your house for only 14bucks plus p+p and you would never lose your anal beads collection ever again.

and Helen's (site owner's) comment?

Other words that come to mind are “what”, “no” and “plastic cereal bowl on a bent wire hanger for $14 are you out of your fucking mind.”

and, while it can be mean and bitter snark, many Etsy folk post their own work to regretsy and the added exposure sometimes helps it sell (http://www.regretsy.com/sold/).

omg... cringe...

proof that the internet connects that person who makes the weird and odd junk and the person who wants to buy it...

Did I mention I'm starting a store? lol.

Did I mention I'm starting a store? lol.

I'm thinking the same thing. I have lots of junk around here and a lot of time on my hands. I wonder what I can make out of thousands of acorns, pinecones and crates of old computer cables and half-skeins of yarn. I'm keeping the plastic dishes for barbecues by the pool though.

I bet I could make wreaths out of them and sell them as environmentally friendly decorations since they could feed them to the squirrels after the holidays. I wouldn't be able to use glitter-poop but that's a good thing.

I read regretsy every day along with:

Cake Wrecks (http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/)
You Suck at Craigslist (http://www.yousuckatcraigslist.com/)
Lovely Listing (http://lovelylisting.com/)
the "blog" of "unnecessary" quotation marks (http://www.unnecessaryquotes.com/)
Zooborns (http://www.zooborns.com/)

Man this list grows longer every week. I'm Queen slacker these days!

Yesterday on Etsy I bought a framed tin tile with ladybugs (http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=21355828)paint ed on it for my new office. :) I also bought some "holiday" cards (http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=21356253)made with flowers!

Here is the shop (http://www.etsy.com/shop/CatherinetteRings)with the steampunk rings I mentioned earlier in the thread.

Lastly, here is a blog (http://howaboutorange.blogspot.com/)I found today about crafting. It's pretty good.

Okay, posting frenzy over!

You are very very welcome.

I adore regretsy.

The first one I read there was to a picture of an old lady on a toilet, with a mouse looking at her (http://www.regretsy.com/2009/10/05/granny-panties/). (yeah really. WTF?)

Who would buy a drawing of an old lady taking a shit in a public bathroom? Is there a big market for granny scat and I’m just behind the curve?

Why is there no door on the stall? Is she peeing through her underwear or just not wearing any? Where are her pants? And why is there a mouse in the bathroom? Is this a KFC?

And what’s “imanginative”?

I don’t expect you to have all the answers. I just needed to talk to somebody.

Re regretsy, this is my favorite post from recently:

http://images.regretsy.com/psy.jpg

And her commentary was:

"You know, I only have two rules in life; don’t spell “fairy” with an “e”, and don’t share hoodies with people with dreads. But if I had a third rule, it would be not to wear anything that makes you look like a beekeeper at a rave."

Yep. seriously - the vulva portrait pendant (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=32333269) I think she should have gone for the catchier alliterative name though - pussy portrait pendant :D
