ok travel bugs - i'm heading to bali in feb

other than food ;) travel is my fav hobby.

what do i need to know about traveling to bali in february? i just looked at flights in the next couple of weeks cost about 1800 bucks from phoenix. holy crap!! will that be cheaper in feb?

apparently the locals can be a bit aggro if you drop in on their waves but are quite friendly of you give them the nod of respect.

How (in)direct ways for getting there have you looked at? I'm no good at these things, but I think you should try looking at routes that might look like detours, via for example Bangkok.
