So in the spirit of this announcement (http://www.secularcafe.org/showthread.php?t=3312), I thought that I'd start a topic. :)

FRDB down?

Well, I can't get through to it.

If it persists, I'd guess RayJ or someone will be along shortly, to say what's up.

And why do we care? That's what I'm missing.

Because there's still quite a bit of overlap? There are people who go here and FRDB.

That does not mean you, personally, have to care. There are probably people here who would like to know when TR is having problems, and I don't care about that, myself. Still, a thread here saying "TR's down and here's why" would hardly arouse my irritation; I'd just head over to the Witty Caption thread.

When I try to reach FRDB now I get:

The server is currently backing up the database. This should take less than 15 minutes. If you click "refresh" every few minutes, as soon as the database finishes backing up, your submission will go through as expected. Please be patient! Do not click "refresh" too often!

So there you go.

Yeah, I just noticed that. 15 minutes in football time, I guess.
