This plugin for ImageJ really is fun...

It's all pretty simple to download and operate - instructions here (http://www.secularcafe.org/showthread.php?p=84019&#post84019)

I prefer spending hours in Photoshop, thanks very much :D Those are funny but superimposing images runs the risk of a pasted look, and those do look very copy-paste. Sorry.

They are jpeg "stills" and so do look copy/pasted, I agree but get a good pair of complimentary pictures, do lots of iterations and you can make a movie in which one morphs into another. ImageJ was never meant to do the same kinds of things that Photoshop does. It's open source for image analysis mostly. I just like exploring all the plugins that people write for this thing.

It's kind of fun and challenging to play with too. The trick is finding and/or manipulating images so that the features you want merged are well aligned.
I've been playing with the idea of learning to write some of my own plugins or wondering if I'll have time to do that, at least :)
