This week, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud of Saudi Arabia — the largest shareholder of News Corp outside the Murdoch family — endorsed Rupert Murdoch’s son James to succeed the elder Murdoch when he retires.

[...]

ALWALEED: I met with Mr. Rupert Murdoch and Mr. James Murdoch. We are always in touch. I’m second biggest shareholder there.

Shocking.

He’s really Rupert Murdoch in the making, and he’s almost there now

Fancy your ultimate goal being to turn your own son into a clone of yourself? - the ultimate in abusive narcissism.

It certainly makes sense to me that a rich Saudi muzzer would own fox given its hosts, leanings and content. What better weapon to use against a culture than OReilly, Hannity, Beck and, now, Palin. More devastating that any airplane attack.

Do the Saudis own Limbaugh too?

He asked but they turned him down - even they have standards.

It's my understanding that fox was the only major cable news network that didn't broadcast the Haiti fund raising program last night.

Color me not surprised.

This is as far as I got when I looked that up. I don't know if you can find the shareholders listed anywhere, or if that is confidential. It's a private equity group. They own Clear Channel Communications, which owns Premiere Radio Network, which owns Rush's show.

The right wing looks like it will be shooting itself in the foot this year in general, what with their apathetic response to Haiti, their outward glee at the obvious theft of the political process by big business, and their crocodile tears for big banks and their profits. This is good. Call me an optimist.

Just to clarify:

FOX did broadcast it. Fox News Channel didn't.

To be fair, O'Really is demanding accountability of every dollar put into Haiti. His Christianity just oozes out of every sanctimonious pore.
