Is stating that "There are no absolutes" an absolute statement?

Yes, a paradox. :)
But it could be that one thing is absolute, that no real thing is absolute. So the absolute thing is not a real thing, but an idea.

Well, I hope your best days are not all behind you.
I hope someone will tell us whether there is anything absolute. I for one have much doubt that there is an absolute. Maybe death is absolute.

I'd have to die from something predictable to know that; my best guess is that there is a 50% chance, give or take a bit, that absolutes exist.
It is an absolutely absolute statement IMHO.
