Ooooh, lovely, so many many old familiar usernames!! I'm so glad to have found y'all again!

For those who aren't from "that place", Bree really is my first name (and no, it's not short for anything), and yes, I'm usually barefoot in real life. I even drive my big rig barefoot - I have better "feel" on the pedals.

I'm here at an invitation from Puck, glady accepted. I started my internet life on Internet Infidels, and it's still my primary home; I tried most of the related forums but didn't find a home at any of them. Hoping madly to rectify that here.

I'm not a kid; I'm hovering near fifty (trying to slip past it with my eyes closed). Been an office puppy most of my working life; but a couple of years ago I chucked it and began driving a truck with my husband across country. Oh, I'm in the USA, btw. Official home of record at the moment is Portland, Oregon, but as we don't have an apartment anymore, "home" is really our truck. When we get one, that is. We are between jobs at the moment, staying with my elder daughter outside St Louis, but that should be recitified soon.

I like to say that privately I'm a hard atheist (I have a positive belief that no gods exist), but socially I'm "live and let live". I'm usually pretty successful at it, too, so long as others also agree to that "let live" part.

Very interested in joining conversations on subjects OTHER than religion, however.

Been gone so long I felt I should reintroduce myself.

A lot has changed since my original intro above. Divorced, no longer driving a truck, long boring story. Living with my grown daughters east of St Louis area. Working part time doing grunt work while going back to school to become a Medical Assistant. (That's the person at the doctor's office who greets you, takes your vital signs and complaint, sets you up in the exam room, etc.)


Oh, glurg, should have started this later; I'm supposed to be leaving for work. Back later, bye!
