...about the BBC. (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article5993867.ece)
THE Archbishop of Canterbury has challenged the director-general of the BBC, accusing the corporation of ignoring its Christian audience.
Rowan Williams told Mark Thompson that the BBC should not ignore Christian viewers and took him to task over cuts in religious programming on the World Service, during a meeting at Lambeth Palace earlier this month.
This is really a bit rich considering the way the BBC continues to ignore non-believers. For some years there has been a campaign by the BHA and the National Secular Society to get rid of the "god slot" Thought for the Day on the influential news and politics programme Today on Radio 4, or at least open it to non-theist speakers. The beeb have always turned a deaf ear.
