Thanks for the welcome y'all. The enigmatic handle is, as DMB guessed, a cherished registration. I found this forum while searching for discussions about recent reports that alpha (a fundamental constant in physics) may not have the same value everywhere. I thought the implications of this would be highly relevant to those seeking to break the deadlock over whether the universe was intentionally selected for us (deliberately tuned), or whether we find it the way it is through a self-selection effect. The debate about this hasn't really got going anywhere yet - although there are a few starters here. However, if the science is independently verified and becomes accepted I can see it becoming a hot topic.
