Woot, hoot, and grunt-hoot (have to work some chimp vocalizations in on a skeptical forum)!

Is nine wands some kind of tarot reference, by the way? Or is that just a devious false trail?

Waitaminute! Hold yer horses already. I thought this was supposed to be: Join board as a new member; Make a post in the "Intros" thread telling all about myself and how all the other board members should feel privileged just to be graced by my presence; Sit back and receive praise and accolades from the great grovelling and unwashed masses!Did I miss a step somewhere? Procedures DO have to be followed, don't you know? :D

ETA: seriously, you guys (and ladies) make me feel like a rock star or some such. Better be careful, I might get a swelled head ... or, as my mother used to say, "Don't feed his ego. He does that just fine for himself!"

Well, if that's the way y'all REALLY feel, I'll begin accepting applications from candidates for positions as "roadies," "groupies," "minions," and the single most important position of all, the "simpering sycophant," immediately.

The pay is unconscionably low, the hours are unconscionably long and the workload is unconscionably heavy. Any takers?

I recently bought a t-shirt that says "my cult-like following is now accepting applications".

Lisa, I think your resume should get you an interview, at least. :D

Welcome, 9W- I'd say that in the present economy, there should be plenty of available minions for all us evil overlord types.

You need to include a line that says "Many positions available."

The ones that get the joke are an automatic in! :D

I said Multi-Positioned, but I misspelled it. I need admin help to fix that!

Oh, and unless it is the obvious, I don't get the joke.

Actually it is a sort-of tarot reference and a pen-and-paper RPG reference from the '90s. I used to play Shadowrun online with a group on Compuserve back in the pre-general-access to-the-internet days. One of the characters I played was a street samurai whose street name was "ninewands." Since he was a HEAVY believer in the tarot, I figured I better learn something about it, so I did. I liked the supposed "meaning" of the nine of wands so I took his name for my own online.

OMG--- we're a SR family!

I just got Hex a set of six 6 sideds carved from Onyx.

We should start a game... are you a real roleplayer? I think you are.

Fuckit--- I'll gm. Interested? Hex'll play. That'd be like asking if he'd breathe. Lisa's a wimp, I can force her into it... I'd bet WorldTraveller will bite...

can we do this here? or at ratpags?

I love the setting, but I refuse to play in the Palladuim system...it sux donky balls. :p If someone has bought SR since than, or ya wanna use GURPS/Hero, I'm in! :D

Course, I have very little free time these days. Maybe after mid-May.

We're only with first or second edition here.

Man, I could do a GURPS campaign. Except I think I gave my books away.

If it works out, you could jump in later. Campaigns are like that.

And I'd simplify it for net use. No munchkins, only roleplayers.

Don't worry my child, you will grow out of it eventually.
1. Easily brainwashed
2. Sheep mentality
3. Ability to follow rules obediently without question
Then again, maybe not ...

and ...

where's that "submissive before men," stuff?
1986 to 2008: Wife
1. Able to provide sex on demand, multi-positioned and multi-skilled
Gee, I've never had a problem with it being "sex on request" after the first time. Never cared much for sex I had to "demand." ;)
2. Homecooking available
In case nobody warned you Lisa, I'M the cook ... unless you make a better lasagna than missygail does ... one thing I've never QUITE mastered ...
3. Will work for free[/indent]
This is showing some REAL promise, here.

I don't have ANY books newer than SR3, I'm afraid, and only part of them. I like the setting and the game but I never got majorly addicted to it. However, most of my playing was with my son-in-law or one of his friends GMing and we had NO problem with custom made "house rules" and "races" ... I think he described the game as Shadowrun 2.5 edition.

We could do an informal run and just roleplay.

It's a great world--- fuck, it's catching up to us!

We could play the no dice system (duh) and just have fun.
