Default Stepping Out...

Ok - so the Reason Rally made me decide to add my voice to the growing secular chorus. Born and raised Catholic and after 40 years I just admitted to myself it made no sense to me and I had to stop beating myself up for not having "faith".

So here I am...

Welcome to SC. Excuse me for asking, but what is the Reason Rally (I know I could Google it, but it is much more enlightening to ask someone who was there)? And how did they put their message across differently from the things you have heard before? Are there any lessons we can learn?

Aha! another ex-catholic. Me, too.

Your name surprised me as I have a dear friend who calls herself my Anam Cara. But reading your post I know you're not her!

So have fun, be serious, or both at the same time. It's great here.

What? Virgin births, immaculate conceptions, and blood sacrifices make no sense to you?

Welcome to sanity. And the forum also.

Welcome AnamCara...there's lots of ex-believers of various flavours here as well as a few believers.

I hope you find the discussions here interesting and useful as the transition from being a believer can be quite a difficult and testing one.

Enjoy SC

Congratulations on your progress. Many people here have made a similar journey. I hope the change won't cause you too many RL problems.
